HOPE IN A BOX

Most people love Christmas, but it can be one of the loneliest times for people who are homeless. So if you add Covid, it can be quite a bleak situation.

Therefore, we believe that providing a care package will bring a little bit of hope and light to a tough time.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

I am so happy to take home what I have learnt to my children, my family and in my profession to be a braider. I have three daughter's, and each have different texture hair and the Nurture Academy has helped me identify how to treat each hair type differently and with care, the techniques on detangling and blowing drying hair and how to use different hair equipment.

Hannan

Nurture academy is amazing, the work that they do is essential to supporting service user to develop confidence and skills. Residents benefited from having their hair done and shared self-care tips, which empowered our residents.

- Mullings Community Partnership Manager (Caritas Anchor House)

Nurture Academy joined us, the Braidbox at some community events, helping to promote the art of hair braiding and how people can learn to braid for themselves. They always come with a bright, enthusiastic energy that transitions to clients and eases any nervousness around learning a new skill.
