SOCIAL PROJECTS
Every year we delivery different community project that focuses on bringing people together as a community and engaging them in activities.

We work in partnership with Organisations to help them understand and respond to the need of their Community, so they may deliver a positive impact and leave a lasting change.
Why Nurture A Smile Hair Hubs Matter.
The Problem We're Solving
Hair care challenges can quietly erode a child’s confidence and add stress to a parent’s daily routine. Across London, families especially those from Black and Global Majority communities struggle with limited access to culturally appropriate hair care. These struggles affect everything from school attendance to self-esteem, yet they often go unseen.

Our Hair Hubs offer a community based solution: spaces where families receive hands-on support, learn lasting skills, and build confidence one braid, twist, and smile at a time.
Our Vision
We envision a London where:
-
Every child starts their day feeling proud of their appearance.
-
Every parent feels equipped to support their child’s confidence.
-
Every community has access to inclusive, empowering hair care education.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
I am so happy to take home what I have learnt to my children, my family and in my profession to be a braider. I have three daughter's, and each have different texture hair and the Nurture Academy has helped me identify how to treat each hair type differently and with care, the techniques on detangling and blowing drying hair and how to use different hair equipment.

Nurture academy is amazing, the work that they do is essential to supporting service user to develop confidence and skills. Residents benefited from having their hair done and shared self-care tips, which empowered our residents.
Naomi
- Mullings Community Partnership Manager (Caritas Anchor House)
Nurture Academy joined us, the Braidbox at some community events, helping to promote the art of hair braiding and how people can learn to braid for themselves. They always come with a bright, enthusiastic energy that transitions to clients and eases any nervousness around learning a new skill.
